Background History...
Operation Secret Storm (OSS) was the brilliant work of Jon Valesh. Valesh worked on OSS while at Color Dreams; a release was made in 1991. Storm Over the Desert (SOD) was one of the games featured on Active's Action 52 cartridge. It was also released in 1991. American Crisis was an unknown and unreleased Nintendo game programmed at C&E; and sent to American Video Entertainment for evaluation. This also occured in 1991.
Controls...
As far as controls go, SOD takes the cake. The tanks will stop on a dime, causing the game to play rather well. On OSS, the controls can get kind of buggy at times. The player bounces around the screen at annoying consistencies. American Crisis has mediocre controls, but it can get rather buggy at times. This is probably since our version is incomplete.
Graphics...
Judging by the title screens, Storm Over the Desert, Operation Secret Storm, and American Crisis should be graphically similar. When we start the games, our opinions change dramatically. OSS features beautiful backgrounds displaying oil fields, chemical labs, etc. American Crisis features detailed backgrounds of Iran and Iraq. Desert Over the Storm features...well...crummy two-year old pseudo-Atari graphics. *Shudders*

Music...
Once again Operation Secret Storm wins this battle. Color Dreams had hired Sandy Sims to compose the music to Secret Storm. Quite frankly, it isn't that bad. The music to Storm Over the Desert is not really music at all. Wait, there is no music! That horrid machine gun noise is actually the tank sound effects. American Crisis doesn't have any music either, just some mediocre sound effects. Ugh.
Overall...
Personally, I can spend a few hours playing Operation Secret Storm and American Crisis. Both games are fun (they are also pretty amusing). Fighting Saddam's regime is much more thrilling then duking it out with Saddam in a Combat clone. Storm Over the Desert is the worst of the three games by far.
