Rad Racer 2 --- Square

Quite possibly, the worst Funcoland experience of all time. My brother and I went to Funcoland, we were already buying around $35 worth of games together. Then Calx asks me if we should ask about purchasing Rad Racer 2. I tell him not to bother, the original wasn't spectacular. He asks anyway; we walk out of the store with Rad Racer 2. When we get home and play the game, we decided it was hard. The original was far better. Until that fateful day...

I got bored one day, so I decide to play Rad Racer 2. After all, Gettysburg, PA is in the game. I live near there, so that is quite cool. I play the game and get quite good at it, the secret is the turbo start. Any time your engine is stopped, hold the down button for a few seconds. Then wne you accelerate, you will be going 255 MPH. Quite cool!!!

Rad Racer 2 is quite an improvement over the original. The car stays on the road better, or is it that there is alot less road rage? The music is average. There are two generic tunes and a Sing Yourself tune. On Sing Yourself, you get to, well, sing yourself. Nothing to exciting.

The courses are quite nice looking for a NES game. Each course has it's own unique look. Although Rad Racer 2 was not the Crusin USA in its day, it is one of the better racing games. Rad Racer 2 is the Rad Racer game to get out of the series.
