Lion King

It is seldom that one stumbles upon an original pirate game. It is even rarer if the game is actually enjoyable to play. Such is the case with Lion King. This game is excellent from start to finish.

Lion King is an exact port of the popular Super Nintendo and Sega versions of Lion King. I enjoy the music to this game. The title screen music is a fairly nice rendition of Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" song. The other music has once again been ported from the Super Nintendo over to the Famicom. Some of the music (Just Can't Wait to Be King) sounds a bit downgraded, though it is not that bad. Otehrwise, it is fairly good.

The most important part of any game is the game control and graphics; Lion King has them both. Simba is very easy to control. The graphics are rather nice as well. For a Nintendo title, much detail has been put into designing the graphics. Everything could pass for the Sega Genesis version of the game.

This version of Lion King is quite a find. Anyone who enjoyed playing the Lion King games on other platforms will find this version to be of equal caliber. Everything is there, the stages are the same, the music, the graphics. What's not to like?
