I have a hard time choosing games when I go to my local Babbages. I already own most of their "better" titles, funny how I don't own Metal Gear as of yet. Such was the case when I bought Kid Niki. My interest for the game was aroused after learning that Mario 14 was based off of Kid Niki 3. We (the US) don't have Kid Niki 3, Kid Niki would have to work.

Have you ever played the game Ghosts N Goblins? Kid Niki plays quite like it, well not really but I had to compare Kid Niki to some game. The game is a ninja action game, enemies take one or two hits to destroy. The big bosses take around five hits to destroy. Even so, this game is no cake walk!

The music to Kid Niki is below par, IMO. The same boring tune repeates itself for the first five stages or so, ack. The enemies are all wearing masks, it makes the enemies look like "shyguys (SMB2) on drugs." Not too cool.

Personally I think the pirated Super Mario 14 looks alot cooler then Kid Niki does. The game is entertaining for an hour or so but after that you quickly lose interest.
