Ken Beckett is the man behind one of the more popular Color Dreams games, Crystal Mines. Programming the only licensed Color Dreams game (Crystal Mines ][ on Atari Lynx), Ken also programmed a graphics program Nindraw. |
Robert Bonifacio |
This interview is with Robert Bonifacio. Robert produced many popular games for computers, such as Top Fuel Challenge. After his jobs their, he programmed King Neptune's Adventure for Color Dreams. |
Dan Burke |
My interview with Dan Burke is quite interesting, really. Dan was working with art at college when he met up with a man in an arcade who knew a guy at Color Dreams. As fate had it, Dan fell in with the Color Dreams guys and he stayed their until they started making bible games. |
Roger Deforest |
Roger Deforest worked on several projects while at Color Dreams. He helped draw graphics for the Hellraiser PC game. He also worked on the programming for Secret Scout and Free Fall was his unreleased wonder at CD. |
Michael Denio |
Michael Denio programmed a popular PC game, Captain Comic. He also made a lesser-known sequel Captain Comic 2. The first game was ported over to the NES and it turned out quite well. |
Richard Frick |
Richard Frick was the man who founded American Video Entertainment, an unlicensed Nintendo company. |
Martin Gee |
Martin Gee was a college student back in the early nineties. He drew a few graphics for American Video Entertainent's manuals and games (Mermaids). |
Isidro Gilabert |
Ever since I obtained a copy of the Smurfs game on NES, I loved it. I finally managed to contact the lead programmer of the game, Isidro Gilabert, who also programmed another great game (Asterix). Read the interview for more information. |
Vance Kozik |
Vance Kozik has been programming games forever it seems. Since his Atari games, Vance gained a lot of respect programming. He then moved on to work at Color Dreams. |
Lane Waters |
Odyssey Software was a small Nintendo company up in Ma, USA. Lane Waters worked at Odyssey and he helped work on the games. He now works on PC games. |
Dan Lawton |
Dan Lawton, a bright guy, had figured that the videogame market was quite large in 1989. He decided that starting a software company would be good, Color Dreams then came to life. |
Dave O'Riva |
Dave worked at Tengen on Klax, such an insane game to win (though very addictive). After Klax, he left and programmed Krazy Kreatures with Franz Lanzinger. |
Ben Smith |
Ben Smith worked as a Game Counselor for Nintendo back in the early 1990s. He also did some work on the Nintendo World Championship competition. |
Nina Stanley |
I remember when I had emailed Nina, I was excited to hear back from her. Nina had drawn up the graphics to many of the Color Dreams games. Today, she still draws game graphics, as well as professional painting. |
Frank Waung |
Frank worked with Dan Burke and Leo Gilreath on Raid 2020 for Color Dreams...one of the only CD games which had a whole "team" of workers. Frank tells me about where they got the ideas for Raid 2020. |
