Sorry for the lack of updates in the last week. I have indeed found a server, unlimited space, free, great speed and just about anything you'd ever want and I'm working on moving everything. Bear with me for a little while. I may not be able to update as much, but it'll eventually even out when I can move the page.

The April Fools joke is over. I'm surprised so many of you were complaining you couldn't read the text. Folks, you're not supposed to be able to read text backwards. It's just one of those things you're not supposed to do. Like chewing with your mouth open at the dinner table. Wetting your bed at night. Making a moron out of yourself on your website. Which I'm doing now. Catch ya's later.

Added a few new reviews from the NES-Nut himself! Blaster Master, Micro Machines and TC Surf Designs. The review for TC never fails to make me ROTFL. I may have found a server that gives unlimited memory and good speed for the page. Keep your fingers crossed. Geocities has expanded to 6 MB (Yay!) but still has those pop-up banners that crash browsers left and right. What can you do? If anyone from Geocities is reading this, let me say something to you right now. There is a great, 5 MB server now called Xoom. And their theory is this:"The homepage is your creation, and not ours. We're not going to make you do anything." And you know what? A lot of people are getting accounts at Xoom right now. Geocities doesn't need pop-ups and banners and all this other stuff. They are well-known enough as it is. I bet if you were to take away your pop-up banners and all that stuff, less people would leave and more people would come in. You offer 6 MB, great speed and a lot of utilities to make it easy for a newcomer. Think about it....

Hello silly people. I'm sure you've all seen the NES Viewpoints by now. It's lead myself and Mark Manson to form the NES Gaming Network (NesGN). I'll have more info on this as the time passes. This will change the NES Internet Community more than anything ever before.
Geocities FTP is acting goofy right now, so I'm just going to have to wait on some new reviews. The NES-Nut just gave me a couple new reviews to post up, but everytime I try, things get as goofy as a beaver. One of which, for T+C, had me ROTFLing. I can't wait to post it up.
NES Viewpoints is a hit. I'd like some more feedback from some of you, but I still believe that the section has done nicely. I'm also always looking for some more NES Stories.
Until we meet again......

Hey guys. I added a ton of new links, an NES Story and some assorted other stuff. Sorry I haven't updated the page in a little while. The Ring of Power code has also been updated. I've been hit with the flu (again) and it drove me nuts for a week. Thanks for all the votes, stories and stuff you folks have been sending in. Keep sending them on in! Thanks a million.

Hellllloooo, Seattle! I've changed the reviews for Ice Hockey and Urban Champion and I'll be getting more reviews in soon. The codes section has been revamped for organization and less loading time. I've also added a plethora of links and will soon change that section, too. We are now a member of the GSN. No, not the cable network I want so much, but the Games Sites Network. Out of all of the webpages that they have on their service, we are #49! We are also now members of the World's Top 1000 sites. Since I just entered this less than an hour ago, I'm not sure where we stand. At the rate we're going, I expect to be within the Top 200-300 sites. A big request here. WE NEED NES STORIES!!!! I haven't gotten a story in so long you wouldn't believe it. From the people that I have talked to, the NES Stories is one of the funniest and best parts of the site and I really want more because you, the people like them. So if you're reading this and you have a little time on your hands, send me a story. You'll get full credit and it'll be something you can be proud of.:) Thanks to all for linking to my site. Thanks to all for e-mailing me. Talk to ya' beavers soon.

Hi humans! Big thanks to Hobby G for reminding me to do this section.:) I've been very busy with schoolwork, as we all are, and haven't had the most amount of time to update. There are some new shtuff in several places, just look around and you'll see. I'm still looking for those old votes that got erased. Once I can get them, then I will finally update the vote. I've also added in the HTML for a banner that you can put on your page to help the petition. Lots of folks have asked me about our move soon. It will take longer than I originally thought. Crosswinds is a slow server for a lot of people. See, I have a cable modem. It's hooked into my TV and I can go much faster than all of you can since it goes through our cable wires. For me, Crosswinds is a snap to get through. For those of you with a 14.4 modem or something of the like, it's a different story. I'm looking for a good place with at least 15 MB to put the page. I've filled out a form for a place called Dragoncastle or something, but they never reply to me. I've filled out the thing 3 times now! ARRGH! It's gone too far. Thanks to all the people who have been mailing me votes, questions and stuff. You know who you are.:) If you have questions, comments, reviews, codes, votes, a good place to put our new page etc. etc. etc., don't hesitate to e-mail me. I try to help all of you as much as I can. Jay Silverman: Nicer than your average NES Webmaster.:) Heh heh. That has a nice ring to it. I like that. BTW, for those of you who are ICQ enhanced, drop me a line there. My UIN# is 7560611. My nickmame is KC6794 (what do you guys expect?) and my name is Jay Silverman. That should do it. Big thanks to Hobgoblin once again for reminding me to update this thing. Peace, Love (talking hand motion) and Gossip!:)

WOW! Has it been this long? Ack.... I have revised the reviews page and the links page. The reviews have been fully organized alphabetically and a new one has been added, Mega Man 3. It may not look good; I keep typing in the proper HTML and viewing and it's right and then I save it, but when I click on it, it doesn't work out. The links have been catalouged and I will expand that even more. I'm going to add many more links over the next few days. I am going to maybe add a pictures and/or sound page soon. The only thing I need is more webspace. I am currently considering leaving Geocities to a server in which I think I could get up to 15-50 times the memory here. Stay tuned. We are getting a lot of votes and I'm just about to tally them all up. I don't know which games will place what, the votes are a lot more varied than last time. Quick hello out to some nice folks I've met in the NES Chat Room: NESter-fellow Tetris Attack fan, Link and Telia from the NES Triforce-Are you guys going to ever link here or what?:),MrSpell-Where have you been?, MagitekChocobo-Hey!!!, Homer-Did you link here yet? I'm so tired. Anyone else? Probably, but since it's 4 AM, my brain isn't quite functioning properly.:) Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah to all of you!!!:) Keep the e-mail comin'!!!

Hello folks in NES land! Sorry the page hasn't been updated in a while. Blame it on my english and math teachers:-). Plus, I've been working on a game show collection, I love game shows(esp. Press Your Luck). The petition is still going well. The vote is done, for now at least. The 5 games that made the final cut are Zelda 1, SMB3, Punch Out, Metroid and Final Fantasy. Games that came very close but no cigar were Contra and SMB2. Contra started slowly but got several key votes at the end it to make things interesting. The new vote, minus those 5 games, will be ready at the beginning of November. I've been busy with message boards, I love them so much. A great one is the Classics board, which I have linked to. Go check it out! I also have placed a plethora of links from Jesse Smith, who is the webmaster for The World of Nintendo, IMO the best multi-platform Nintendo site out there. Jesse has several NES-related boards which you might want to check out. Keep the e-mail coming!

The first "formal"update in a few weeks. I've slightly tinkered with the page since, but nothing worthy of me to tell you about it. To phife-dog:I will put up your NES Story in a few days. I've just done too much typing my hands are getting numb. There are many new reviews, check em' out. I will also get reviews for Battletoads, Mega Man 3 and Breakthru within the weeks. The manual requests are starting to lower(thank God:-), so if you need anything let me know. The NES Hall of Fame is getting a lot of support. Zelda and Mario Bros.3 are in the lead, with many games tying. Every vote counts! The petition is still going to strong. Tell everyone you know so we can pull this crazy thing off! NES Trivia will be added very shortly. I am considering including an NES Message Board,so let me know what you think. I will update the manual section and considering some new sections, like a trading area and some interesting NES facts. Keep the e-mails coming!

We have new links, new reviews, new story and hopefully more new stuff. Be patient with those reviews. I've got a few typed up and will add them soon. Thanks to Marcus Voyles for his review of Marble Madness. Marcus, send me some more reviews!!! We will soon be members of the NES Trapezoid, so look out for that. I'd also like to thank Dan Bergquist for all his help with ideas for the petition. Trivia should be up soon and I'll tally up the votes.
What do you want to see? A bigger codes section? A message board? A place to buy, sell and trade? The only way to let me know what you want is to e-mail me, so please do.
I've been getting A LOT of requests for codes, manuals, maps etc. I'm sorry if I didn't get back to you. I've been busy and I'm being flooded with at least 3 or 4 a day. I try to look around my best but can't always find it. As I've said the past 30,000 updates, submit a code, review, manual or just some good hate mail. I got a great one from some schmuck recently..uh, any way, submit whatever you want to contribute and be famous in our eyes

We've changed quite a bit. Check out the new vote, much different than the last vote. I've got nearly 15 reviews in the works and they will soon be added to the page. Here's a transcript of an e-mail sent to me from the NES-Nut himself:
Awww Man, I know it sucks but I just don't have time to support the page right now. I'm getting married next week and very busy with that. I'm getting ready to switch Net providers soon, I'll probaly re-open the page soon, but it will be down the road NES-Nut
OK, the part intended for me(the bulk of the letter) I edited out.So there you go. For all of you that may hate me, you will be happy someday:-). If you want to submit anything, code, manual, review, link to your site, whatever, please send it!!!!!!

TaDa.... I hope you like the new "NES Petition". Thanks goes out to Phife-Dog for the guestbook idea The Doctor of Style for helping, L-Page for the program and most of all Mike Dittrich who had the original idea about the NES Petition. As you can see we have a great bunch of NES minds out there and here at Flashback you can "Birth and Nurture" your ideas, so to speak. I just got out of a creative writing class so I may say goofy stuff like that every now and then. Anyways if you have an idea, story, review, manual or just want to B.S. then drop Jay or myself a line and you will get the credit that you deserve or at least a quick reply ;) I will be out of town for the weekend so the NES Top Ten Vote was updated today. If you need a fast reply then e-mail Jay.

Well were still working on the "special" thing that I told you about, we should have it ready by next week somethime. We did add a NES Stories area. Thanks goes out to Jay and his buddy for that one. A lot of people got ride of their nintendos because they couldn't get the games to work and I'm sure that your all aware of what a huge pain in the @$$ the "older" front loading systems are well I got an e-mail the other day that may help you all:
Nes-Nut
If you don't want all the hassle on the nes with out buying another one is always play the game with game genie. if you don't want to use it then don't put any codes
Mark Rafael
Well I'm not sure if it does the trick but its worth a try.
Thanks for the great Tip Mark.
Everyone have a great weekend the Nes-Nut...

Better late than never, eh? I have updated the vote, K.F. Entertainment link (you can now e-mail them, instead of calling for NES games) Jay has graced us with a couple of new reviews and a cool Metroid code has been added to the codes area....
I'm working on something special for the page with the Doctor of style and it should be ready to unveil later this week or early next week so check back often. As usual Jay has written some great reviews (while he was deathly sick and everything) so check them out! and send Jay a get well soon e-mail, just to let him know you care (sniff.) Also the top 10 has been updated, I can't believe how many respones were getting, everyone keep up the great work! Myself, I'm gonna kick back over the weekend and write a few new reviews and dig for some codes 'n stuff with the Doctor of Style. Oh yeah I almost forgot to tell you, I'm in the middle of moving and I found a bunch of NES manuals behind a dresser so I'll also be writing a few manuals up for the page too. As always fell free to contribute to your favorite NES page (Flashback of course) by writing a manual, review, code or just an e-mail to let us know how we are doing. We always give the author credit and many thanks:). May your games never lock, your controlers never rest and your thumbs never blister.
Later,

Thanks to everyone who is helping to pull this crazy thing called flashback together. We updated a bunch of stuff so look around. Our new friend "Pipes" (along with Mr. Editor Jay Silverman) have put together the best Tyson's Punch out guide that I've ever seen, you can check out his hard work in the "Manuals" section. The first annual Flashback NES top Ten Vote Results are in! To see where your favorite game falls, check out "Vote Results". Remember that the Top 10 Vote is an ongoing thing so vote away! Jay added a couple more codes for Boulderdash and WCW to the "Codes" section (Thanks Jay 'cause Boulderdash is *&%!@# imposible :) We've had alot of complements on the new page and as always your input is what we are all about, Thank you all.

Whoa, Nelly! The magic word for this update is reviews, reviews and more reviews! Jay Silverman and yours truely have put a few new reviews of some great games together for your reading enjoyment. I also updated my "How to find games cheap" area. School is over and now I can spend a bit more time on the important stuff like NES games. I slipped off the deep end and bought a few more games and now I'm in the process of writing reviews for them and putting them here. I'm still having problems with my forms page so the NES vote will be delayed a little longer :(
Fear not though cause we will have many more reviews, handbooks and instructions coming your way over the next couple of weeks so, check in regularly! Okay, I'm gonna get back to a couple of games so I'll see ya later!
P.S. Keep the e-mail's coming! Cause we can't give ya what ya want if ya dont ask.
The NES-Nut!

Man o man, this summer school stuff is for the birds. I swear if I have to write one more essay I'm gonna puke! Sorry about that. I know, I know You're gonna say "Damn it NES-Nut! Wheres all the update?" Stay calm my NESaholics, I'm working on it. I would like to thank Jay Silverman for all of his great reviews. If you have'nt seen them then shame on you. If I can get these stupid forms to work right I'll be adding the first "NES top 10 vote" to the Flashback page, but don't hold your breath. I've been getting a bunch of mail about new NES pages.... Good! The more we have on-line the more people will realize that the NES is here to stay. On a final note I would like to thank K.F. Entertainment for helping us to find those really hard games. If you can't find a game then check out K.F. Entertainment. I have some contact info on them around here some where.
Till Mario visits me personally with a free Nintendo 64, make mine 8-bit
Peace, N stuff,
The NES-Nut

The Trivia contest is over. Check to see how many you had right in the Trivia answer area. Thanks to all who played, I might do it again soon, so check back. I just found a bunch of manuals for various games so I will be adding them to the lost instructions area shortly. The "Dump" page is down right now, but it should be back up before too long, so keep trying. I know this is off tangent but I have a bunch of Intellevision games w/boxes and instr that I'm looking to trade so if your interested drop me a line. I have had a little trouble finding a couple games that I really want so if you have any that you want to trade, sell or whatever let me know. Lastly I am working on a NES top ten games to own page, but I will need everyones input to pull this off. I'm putting a special voting page together for the top ten, it should be up and running next week some time. Thanks for stopping, an come back soon.
Hail the Mighty NES and go WINGS!

If you happen to be familiar with a game on the NES and would like to be famous (in our eyes anyhow) then send the NES-Nut a review, or if you disagree with one of my reviews then tell my why and I'll post your mail next to the review in question. I'm working on some new graphics new stuff as I write so check back soon!

The key for either or both of these happening will be everyone's envolvement if you know of a must have game then tell us. If you have any information that can help our cause them by all means let us know! I will give credit to all who contribute. Well thats it for now but check back soon!
