Taro's Quest was released in Japan as Jya Jya Maru Ninpocho, a popular Role Playing Game. Due to some obvious trends, it is safe to say that this game went unreleased due to marketing reasons. During the early 1990s, RPGs did not sell too well in America.
A guy by the name of Daniel Bloom posted on a messageboard that he had a prototype for Taro's Quest. Many people thought he was lying, until he posted the pictures (that can be seen above). This prototype is a complete English translation of the Japanese game. Mr. Bloom later traded this cartridge for a Nintendo World Championship cartridge!
