Being developed in secret for approximately five years, Snow Bros. (of Bomb Sweeper fame) and EFX (who worked on the unfinished Time Conquest game) teamed up to design a NES game titled Neotoxin. For official news on the game, check out their official website: http://neotoxin.emuchrist.org

Neotoxin seems to be a breakthrough for homemade Nintendo games. In the past, most homemade Nintendo games were simple puzzle/arcade style games. With the exception of Sack of Flour, Heart of Gold (and a few unfinished demos), nothing of this magnitude has been released on the NES, homebrewn wise.

From the videos and music we have seen, Neotoxin looks as if it will be top-notch. The game looks like it will be an action-platformer of sorts, like Castlevania or Astyanax. The soundtrack for Neotoxin is quite superb --- as far as Nintendo/NES soundtracks go. Everything seems to be nicely done, as far as we can tell, so we are excited to play a demo of the game. Until a demo is released, enjoy looking at the media for Neotoxin.
