All of Gaule is occupied by the Romans. Except a village of invincible Gaulois (people from Gaule) who were still resisting. These courageous, stubborn, fighting and humerous Gaulois have only one fear, that the sky would fall on their head... The calm of the little invineible Gaulois was troubled by a new disturbance: Obelix, leaving the boar chase in the forest, hadn't returned! The counsil of the village met and Asterix volunteered to go look for his friend. A credits screen will appear. Push the start button. The story will begin. To enter the game, push Start. The next screen allows you to go to options or enter the world of Asterix. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 8 - Options Menu You can choose to play with or without music. You can choose difficulty level: facile - easy moyen - medium dur - hard Fin - go back to main menu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 9 - Score Bar The score bar is located at the top of the screen. It gives you different information. Les ailes - Wings You can have a maximum of 4 wings to display. Each wing corresponds to a life point. You loose these life points if you are touched by enemies. You can find them in certain blocks. Nombre d'Asterix - Under the wings are the number of lives left. Temps From the beginning, the time diminishes. The time that is remaining at the end is multiplied by 10 and added to his score. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 10 - Les etoiles - Stars You need to collect stars the entire game. When you collect 50 stars, you gain an extra life. Function Pause - Push the start button to pause the game. To return push start again. Le score - Your score depends on the number of bonus collected and the number of enemies beaten. Each time your score reaches 50,000, you obtain one continue option. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 11 *don't forget that your game ends if Asterix is short on points. You can then choose to end (Fin) or continue. Continue takes you back to the last world. End (Fin) will restart you at the beginning of the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 12 - Actions Possible Deplacement normal- To make Asterix walk, use the right and left on the + button Sprint- Asterix can run if you push the B button and the right or left direction at the same time Saut- To make Asterix jump push the A button. You can direct the jump with the + button ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 13 Coup de Poing- To hit the Romans or any enemy, use the B button. To hit with a strong force, you can run and hit at the same time. Se Baisser- It's useful sometimes to duck in order to avoid projectile lances by your enemies. Push on the bottom of the + button. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 14 - Les Ennemis You will encounter all kinds of enemies on your journey. To clear the path, you can avoid the enemies or attack them, which allows you to accumulate points. Pay attention, these are invincible! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 15 Shows many illustrations of different enemies in the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 16 - Les Bonus Collect bonus points for extra lives. Bloc- Some blocks are visable, some invisible. Destroy the blocks for 50 points. Etoile- It's important to collect the stars. You get an extra life for every 50 stars. Also increases your score by 100. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 17 Aile - Collect a wing. Gives 1 life and 1000 points. La potion magique - If you find the magic potion you get an extra life, 1000 points, you can run, and are temporarily invincible. L'amphore - Collect an amphore, you get 25 stars, and 1000 points ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 18 Les lauriers - Get the laurels for an extra life and 1000 points. Le bouclier arverne - Find the buckles, they add 1000 points and temporarily make you invincible. Le clef- All along your adventure, you can find keys. Find one and it will take you immedietly to a secret place. You'll have a limited chance to collect numerous bonus points to make you more strong. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 19 - Bonus Game At the end of each level you have the possibility to participate in games that will allow you to collect bonus points. You can find yourself by the sea on a train trying not to fall off...
