Roger Deforest had programmed Free Fall while working as a freelance programmer for Color Dreams. The game was made in 1992 and by that time, Color Dreams was publishing the Wisdom Tree titles. Free Fall was shelved.

In 1995 Wisdom Tree decided to produce Sunday Funday, a compilation of two different Color Dreams games with re-drawn graphics. Fish Fall was one of the games and I'm sure we know where it came from ;)

Eventually programmer of Free Fall, Roger Deforest, decided to release the source code for the game. A few folks compiled the game for play in emulators so that we all could have a shot at it. Free Fall has more personality then the Fish Fall game, with such things as bosses which hate pickles and stuff like that. Very fun.
