If you want to make a list of the 5 best NES games, this very well might be #1. All those wacky suits contributed to the legend of this game. Who could ever forget seeing everyone's favorite plumber hop into that ever stylish frog suit?:-) The game was easy to some and hard to others, yet had an odd challenge. For me, I have much easier time on Level 8 than I do with Level 6 or 7.

The graphics are some of the best or may be tied with the best for the NES.The detail put it is just amazing. Mario looks incredible.

The sound is the best for the NES. Great tunes and "boingy" noises. One of the few action games to have a theme that you hear in your sleep.

The control is great. Mario jumps well(as he should)and the flying movement was done very well. Those controls for flying are Miyamoto perfection.

There's really nothing bad I can say about this game. Nintendo had it as the highest NES game on their recent 100 best games countdown. I would say along with Punch Out, Mega Man II, Zelda I, Metroid and SMB I, this is one of the 5 best unbiased games for the NES. Of course, if you want me to get biased, there's Tetris and Clu Clu Land:-). You can proably get this game cheap at Funcoland or even at a garage sale. This was so popular and there's lots of people selling NES games at garage sales, so you're bound to find it cheap. Anyway, just look in the couch cushions and find some change, because this is a true classic. You won't be disapointed.
