It was billed as a 3-D racing game, the first for the NES. By pressing select and putting on your 3-D glasses, you would see it in 3-D. No body cared, for the game wasn't that good anyway.(Great Graphics don't make the game. Are there any Nintendo, Sony or Sega execs. reading this?)
The sound is actually very good. I really like some of the songs, accessible by pressing on the down button on the D-Pad.
The graphics are fair. They are nothing extraordianary.
The control kills it. The car moves to slow and can be hard to turn sometimes. I've ran into more trees and street signs than I can count.
In the end, 3-D glasses or no 3-D glasses, it was just a mediocre racing game. Just another Pole Position rip-off. Just another NES game pretending to be 3-D. Somehow, it got a sequel which I haven't played but heard was much better. Stay away.
