Powerless

Nintendo is, has, and always will be one of, if not the best video game systems on the market today. Stunning graphics, amazing sound, and great funfactor is what makes Nintendo a fan favorite. But, overshadowed by it's games, Nintendo has come out with inventions compadable for the system, in the past. Now keep in mind some are not as good as others, but they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
Let's start with the ROB, a child's first robtic friend. Now ROB's job was to play along with you in various games designed for the product. The legend soon died, and it was time for something new.
But before ROB's existence, was a bang'em up shoot'em styled device called the Light Zapper. Hogan's Alley and the legendary Duck Hunt were some of the few that were designated for the gun. Now, in my oppion the gun's reputation will be better remembered than ROB but, think what you will.
But, the one device that emerges from the pack, is the Power Glove. When I first heard about the glove, I thought,"Nintendo has really done it this time!" Some hoped the glove would set a new example for great things to come, while others feared for the worst. And those others were right!
The skinny on the glove, was that you could control game movements by the simple twitch of your fingers. Pretty cool, huh? Well not exactly. Not only was the glove nearly impossible to control, the only game I can remember it being compadable for was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. And believe me, 3rd round, against Tyson himself, your best bet is relying on the control.
In closing, I hoped that Nintendo learned a harsh lesson from this miscue. And let's all prey that something of the Power Glove's kind never rears it's ugly head again!
