What else can I say about this that I haven't mentioned in the other two reviews??:-)
Leave it up to those geniuses at Capcom to listen to the gamers' complaints of a way to speed Mega up. They added the slide which didn't totaly wreck the game, which is what most mecanisms do in these games. A minor adjustment that really helped things go smoother.
As for who should be beaten and when, here we go:
Enemy Weapon Reward
Top Man Hard Knuckle Top Spin
Snake Man N.Cannon S.Snake
Gemini Man Search Snake G.Laser
Needle Man Gemini Laser N.Cannon+R.Jet
Shadow Man Top Spin S.Blade +R.Marine
Spark Man Shadow Blade S.Shock
Magnet Man Spark Shock M.Missle
Hard Man Magnet Missle H.Knuckle
Dr.Wily H.Knuckle
As for how to beat the elusive Gemini Man, get the enegy tanks earlier in the stage. Stand on the left and hit him with the Search Snake until he explodes.
The graphics are great. The detail is incredible. Has to be one of the Top 5 graphically amazing games for the NES.
The control is very good. Mega's moves all work with no complaints and the addition of the slide move helps move things along nicely.
Did you expect this game to have bad sound? If you do, get out of there. Mega Man's have a reputation for great sound and this is no different.
You know a game is real good when Funcoland is selling it for over 15 bucks. People just don't sell this game. A sure-fire classic.
