As all NES fans know 8-bit systems have the best graphics, right :) Well Galaga is so close to the arcade version I started sticking quarters into my TV speakers! No kidding just playing this game reminded me of my youthfull arcade days when games did not cost 50 cents to start :) As far as I can remember everything is here: the bonus stages, the spaceship capture, the extra ship at 30,000 points ect.... I use the Advantage joystick for that arcade feel (which you can get at Toys-R-Us for 5 bucks new! While supplies last!)

Now I'm sure I will get an e-mail from someone claiming that eight pixels on the ship are different and the firing rate is 100,000 of a second slower or something but who cares as far as I'm concerned its perfect :)

One thing I noticed was the number of shots fired and percentage hit at the end of the game, it's just like the arcade version. I would like to recommend this game to everyone who liked the arcade game, BUY IT! Just don't buy it at Funcoland because they want 30 bucks for it! I picked up my copy at a pawn shop for 8 dollars, I know what your thinking 8 bucks for a Nintendo game!?! Hey sometimes you have to splurge :)
